Vittorio Emanuele II di Savoia, Vittorio Emanuele Maria Alberto Eugenio Ferdinando Tommaso di Savoia ( Torino, 14 marzo 1820 – Roma, 9 gennaio 1878 ), è stato l'ultimo re di Sardegna (dal 1849 al 1861) e il primo re d'Italia (dal 1861 al 1878).
Through its junior branch of Savoy-Carignano, the House of Savoy led the Italian unification in 1861 and ruled the Kingdom of Italy until 1946; they also briefly ruled the Kingdom of Spain in the 19th century. The Savoyard kings of Italy were Victor Emmanuel II, Umberto I, Victor Emmanuel III, and Umberto II.
