George Augustus Frederick FitzClarence, 1st Earl of Munster GCH PC FRS FRAS (29 January 1794 – 20 March 1842), was an English peer and soldier.
Biografia. He was the son of Brigadier General Charles FitzClarence, VC (8 May 1865 – 12 November 1914), son of Captain the Hon. George FitzClarence, third son of the first earl. On the death of his son, the seventh earl, in 2000, the titles became extinct.
FitzClarence's father, George FitzClarence, 1st Earl of Munster, was an illegitimate son of King William IV by his long-time mistress Dorothea Jordan. Therefore, the second Earl of Munster was the great-grandson of King George III and first cousin once removed of Queen Victoria.
