In 1269-1276, King Ottokar II of Bohemia was the first in history to rule the lands of today's Austria together (except for Tyrol and Salzburg). He also founded the Hofburg Palace in Vienna. In 1300, King Wenceslaus II was crowned King of Poland.
Ottokar II (en tchèque : Přemysl Otakar II.), né vers 1230 et mort le 26 août 1278 à Dürnkrut en Autriche, est un prince des Přemyslides, fils du roi Venceslas I er de Bohême et de Cunégonde de Souabe. Nommé margrave de Moravie en 1247, il succéda à son père en tant que roi de Bohême en 1253.
Ottokar II, the Iron and Golden King, was a member of the Přemyslid dynasty who reigned as King of Bohemia from 1253 until his death in 1278. He also held the titles of Margrave of Moravia from 1247, Duke of Austria from 1251, and Duke of Styria from 1260, as well as Duke of Carinthia and landgrave of Carniola from 1269.
