Orazio Lomi Gentileschi, meglio noto col solo cognome materno, Orazio Gentileschi, ( Pisa, 9 luglio 1563 (battezzato) – Londra, 7 febbraio 1639) è stato un pittore italiano del XVII secolo. Particolarmente attivo in Italia, Francia e Londra, è ritenuto essere uno dei principali esponenti del primo naturalismo di ambito romano.
Orazio Lomi Gentileschi (1563–1639) was an Italian painter. Born in Tuscany, he began his career in Rome, painting in a Mannerist style, much of his work consisting of painting the figures within the decorative schemes of other artists. After 1600, he came under the influence of the more naturalistic style of Caravaggio.
Orazio Gentileschi was born in Pisa in 1563 to the Florentine goldsmith Giovanni Battista Lomi. In 1576 or 1578 Orazio moved to Rome, where he assumed the surname of a maternal uncle who was Captain of the Guards at the Castel Sant'Angelo.
