Joseph William Calzaghe CBE ( / kælˈzæɡi / kal-ZA-gee; born 23 March 1972) is a Welsh [2] former professional boxer who competed from 1993 to 2008. He held multiple world championships in two weight classes, including unified and lineal titles at super-middleweight, and the Ring magazine light-heavyweight title.
Calzaghe suffers first career knockdown in 2nd; Mitchell down in 2nd. Pudwill down twice in 1st and once in 2nd. Pudwill took the fight on two-weeks' notice as a replacement for Thomas Tate. Jimenez had one point deducted in the 10th round for a head-butt.

Defeated International Boxing Federation Super Middleweight Champion Jeff Lacy by a unanimous decision on March 4, 2006, to unify the IBF and WBO titles. Calzaghe, an underdog even with the British bookmakers, dominated the fight. He also won the vacant Ring Magazine Super Middleweight Championship.
