Mežotne (German: Mesothen) is a town in Latvia 10 km west of Bauska and 40 km south of the capital of Latvia, Riga. It lies in the historical region of Zemgale on the left bank of the Lielupe river near the Lithuanian border.
Mežotne Palace (Latvian: Mežotnes pils, German: Schloss Mesothen) is a manor house located in Mežotne municipality in Bauska district, in the Semigallia region of Latvia. The palace is one of the most outstanding examples of Neoclassical architecture in Latvia.

Mežotnes pils jeb bijusī Mežotnes muižas kungu māja ( Mesothen) atrodas Bauskas novada Mežotnes pagasta Mežotnē. To klasicisma stilā pēc Pēterburgas galma arhitekta Džakomo Kvarengi meta uzcēla Johans Georgs Ādams Berlics 1798.—1802. gados.
Mežotne, Latvia. Mežotne Palace was built in Classicism style during 1798-1802 for a teacher and governess of the grandchildren of Russian Empress Catherine II, Charlotte von Lieven (1742–1828). Architects of the palace were famous Italian Giacomo Quarenghi and Johann Gottfried Adam Berlitz, architect of the Durbe Manor and the Kazdanga palace.
