GUZZONI, Alfredo. Nacque a Mantova, il 12 apr. 1877, da Postumio e Dejanira Giubellini. Entrato come allievo nella Scuola militare di Modena nel 1894, ne uscì due anni dopo sottotenente di fanteria, destinato al 59° reggimento a Monteleone Calabro. Rimase nel medesimo reparto fino al 1907, anche dopo la promozione a tenente accordatagli nel 1899.
