5 giorni fa · Noise issues. w BMPCC 6K. Hi.. I shoot for a living. Just rec'd new 6k cam for my personal work. Testing reveals a lot of noise.. varied my ISO, exposure subject matter. Even when the histogram is filled across the spectrum, the mid tones to the shadows start to get noisy at around ISO 640. Very visible at 3200.

6 giorni fa · It sounds like what you're trying to do is grain management: keep a constant and consistent amount of grain/noise in the image throughout the program. That just requires a lot of attention and skill. You could just noise reduce the whole show, and then apply some very mild grain, like some 200T 35mm film grain.

4 giorni fa · That solves my conumdrum! So basically yes, the noise function is only available as an expression modifier but not as a simple expression. So if I right click a field and select "Modify with expression" rather than just "Expression" and script on the modifiers tab rather than the tools/property panel, everything works as expected. Strange.
