Agreed, I used to line in a podunk conservative town and Dolly is treasured there (as she should be). Honestly, a lot of the real “south” is more inclusive than some other places I’ve lived in (looking at you Illinois!) and my take is that it’s largely driven by the wage disparity between PoCs and Caucasians.
