The distinctive vocalist recruited a host of talented artists, including bassists Flea, Les Claypool, James Whiton, Larry Taylor, Marcus Shelby and Zack Sumner.
4 apr 2012 · Claypool and Entwistle would be a better comparison, IMO. Like him or not, Flea is pretty much a traditional bass player in that his primary purpose within the band is to hold the groove. Les Claypool does something entirely different, and I'd say Entwistle was somewhere in between. Apr 4, 2012 #19.

25 set 2011 · When it comes to technicality, I'd have to say Les Claypool. When speaking of a slap line I would desire to listen to or learn I'd have to say Flea. Technically I'd say Claypool is a "better" slapper. Sep 25, 2011 #14. seanm I'd kill for a Nobel Peace Prize!
