6 ott 2020 · This is a unique Ween release that the band put out themselves in MP3 and should be treated as an LP on this website. Sure, it isn't on spotify, but that doesn't make this any less of a valid release. Anyway, the biggest problem with this album is that it sounds like it was recorded with that very nutsack covering the microphone.

Ween has made excellent "lo-fi" music so this album being 128kbps just works. It doesn't sound nearly as good as their analog lo-fi albums The Pod and Pure Guava, but still succeeds at using the lack of bits to its advantage. Craters of The Sac is an excellent bonus treat for ween fans.

The band's desire to pursue alternate forms of media led to the MP3-only release Craters of the Sac, presented by Melchiondo for online download and free trade. The same year the band had planned to release a live album compilation spanning their entire career up to that point, titled Paintin' the Town Brown: Ween Live 1990-1998 .
