Mr Ransome was appointed as the new Principal at Wath Academy in September 2020. As Deputy Headteacher at Kingswood Academy, he was responsible for Teaching and Learning, Behaviour, Inclusion and Attendance, and was part of the senior leadership team which led the school from ‘Inadequate’ to ‘Good’, delivering a Progress 8 score of +1.17.

OFSTED. We are extremely proud of the progress we have made at the Academy from the last Section 5 inspection in 2017. Since then we have academised to become Wath Academy, joined Maltby Learning Trust and worked through a global pandemic, to receive such an excellent report is testimony to the hard work of both staff and students.
