6 feb 2024 · Farkash has been on the sanctions lists since June 2011, in accordance with paragraph 19 of Resolution 1973, as the wife of Muammar Gaddafi since 1970, and for her proximity to the former regime in Libya.
Her sister Fatima Farkash is married to Abdallah Sanussi, head of Libyan military intelligence.
