Nel 1982 gli Heart erano usciti con un lavoro discreto, "Private Audition", ma ancora ben piantato nel decennio precedente. Non aveva ricevuto critiche positive nonostante un ottimo successo, nel 1983 le sorelle Wilson decidono di cambiare decisamente registro per entrare nel mainstream anni '80.
