Roger Eno & Peter Hammill 'The Appointed Hour' CD. An extraordinary collaboration. Between one and two in the afternoon of 1st April 1999 Roger and Peter improvised in their respective studios. This CD is a combination of their recordings, in which coincidence and fate play charming parts. The music is continuous for the whole hour.

26 gen 2007 · A joint (but from afar) collaboration by Roger Eno and Peter Hammill. A rather strange and ambient studio album recorded separately and then spliced together. Now that is a weird concept, but it works to give a singular musical event. A must for ambient fans, though not a typical Hammill album - no vocals or crashing chords.

Released in 2000, Appointed Hour, a unique collaboration with Peter Hammill, was another significant recording. Eno followed this with a double disc of mostly minimal ambient pieces entitled The Long Walk on La Cooka Ratcha in early 2001.
Roger Eno began euphonium lessons when he was 12 years old, and entered Colchester Institute to study music when he was 16. Upon graduating, and after a period of busking in London (where he briefly shared a house with artists Mark Wallinger and Andy Dog ), Eno returned to Colchester to run a music therapy course at a local hospital for people with learning difficulties.
An album of ambient improvisation. Reviewed in the United Kingdom on 22 May 2000. 'The Appointed Hour', recorded in 1999, is Peter Hammill's second improvisatory and collaborative venture; and is, in many ways, the successor to 'Spur of the Moment' recorded with Guy Evans (former drummer with Van der Graaf Generator) in 1988.
