Ric Ocasek (March 23, 1944 – September 15, 2019) was an American new wave/soft rock singer-songwriter, guitarist, keyboardist and music producer. The father of Christopher Otcasek , Adam Otcasek , Eron Otcasek and Derek Otcasek , as the lead vocalist for The Cars he was inducted in 2018 into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame.
