These two styles blend together surprisingly well, considering their contrasting moods and tempos, thanks in part to Kano's versatility; he's as comfortable reminiscing nostalgically about his family as he is bragging at speed over a 140bpm banger like '3 Wheel-Ups'.

Made in the Manor then is one of the first major full-lengths of grime 2.0; except, it’s not really grime. Over the course of 13 tracks (15 if you count the bonuses) Kano explores the vast spectrum of UK bass and rap music, incorporating everything from hip-hop, to neo-soul, to garage.
Made in the Manor, Kano’s fifth LP, sees the rapper revisiting his childhood haunts in an attempt to come to terms with his past. In a Guardian documentary on the making of his latest record, Kano is candid about the stories that informed Manor. “I think this album is kind of about a personal journey and family,” he says.
