Garden House School was founded in 1950 by Margery De Brissac. Miss de Brissac educated the offspring of diplomats and Prime Ministers including Winston Churchill and Alec Douglas-Home. Although not trained as a teacher, she had great experience of life, working at the Admiralty during WWI and being a Red Cross nurse.
Garden House Girls' School follows the National Curriculum of English, Mathematics, Science, History, Geography, Religious Education, PSHE, Computing (ICT), Art, Music and Modern Foreign Languages. Physical Education (netball, tennis, rounders, gym, swimming, athletics and pop lacrosse) all are integral to our Girls’ School day.
Our fees for the academic year 2024/25 are: £6,950 per term. £9,150 per term. £9,720 per term. £9,800 per term. There is a 5% reduction in fees for second and subsequent children attending as pupils concurrently. Bursaries are available to parents requiring assistance with school fees. After school clubs are charged separately every term.

At Garden House our philosophy is to educate the whole child with a wide range of extracurricular activities being offered. The set curriculum, taught within the timetable of the school day, is designed to fulfil substantially more than the core educational requirements.
