If you strolled down the 3rd Street Promenade recently, you might have noticed this Black History Month banner celebrating Nat Trives, the first African American mayor of Santa Monica. Nat was also a long-serving chair and member of the Crossroads Board of Trustees and is the proud grandparent of a Crossroads student and a graduate.
The School functions like a village, where parents and the faculty have a strong partnership. Teachers are more like classroom facilitators and are actively engaged with their students, even learning with them at times. Our students are able to discover their passions and themselves through art, music, writing, sports and more.
Crossroads School for Arts and Sciences, established in 1971, is an independent, coeducational college preparatory day school. It has an enrollment of more than 1,000 students and offers education to students in grades kindergarten through 12.
Filming On Campus. The privacy and security of our community members is our first priority. Crossroads is not available for film shoots and prohibits filming on either of its two campuses. Elementary School students experience the joy of discovery in a diverse environment that values each student’s interests, background & unique point of view.
