There is a nearly identical version, with the exact same sleeve and just some slight differences in label design: Sylvia Syms - Sings !! Differences are "Side 1" vs. "Side-1" and also catalog numbers "MG 4280" vs. " (MG 4280)".
The album, titled Sylvia Syms Sings/Songs of Love, includes such popular sentimentals as "Isn't It Romantic," "What's the Use of Won'drin," "We Just Couldn't Say Goodbye" and "Let Me Love You." Sylvia Syms, the nightclub singer should not be confused with the British film and television actress, Sylvia Syms. Although the two both died in 1992 ...
In the face of such competition, it would be easy to overlook Sylvia Syms, but she was also an excellent torch singer as this twofer shows. Like her competitors, Sylvia trawled the Great American Songbook for suitable material to record, selecting a mix of popular standards and more obscure songs, though there are not many really famous songs here.
