Wallace Michael Shawn ( Nueva York, 12 de noviembre de 1943) es un actor y dramaturgo estadounidense. En ocasiones aparece en los créditos como Wally Shawn. Regularmente se le ve en cine y televisión . Shawn apareció en el teatro en 1970, donde conoció a Andre Gregory, quien desde entonces ha dirigido varias de sus obras.
Wallace Shawn studierte in Harvard und an der University of Oxford Philosophie, Geschichte und Politik. Bekannt wurde Shawn zunächst als Autor und Produzent zahlreicher Theaterstücke in der New Yorker Theaterszene, am bekanntesten wurde Das Fieber ( The Fever, 1990). Zur Verfilmung von The Fever schrieb Shawn auch das Drehbuch.
