Biographie. Francesco Ioele (dit Frankie Yale ), né à Longobucco ( Calabre, Italie) en 1893 et mort assassiné en 1928, était un membre du gang des Five Points à Manhattan mené par Johnny Torrio. Quand ce dernier fut appelé à Chicago par son oncle Big Jim Colosimo, Frankie prit la tête du gang, dont la spécialité était le racket.
A Frankie Yale, nascido Francesco Ioele (ou Uale), foi dado um dos mais impressionantes funerais da história dos Estados Unidos. Milhares de moradores do Brooklyn compareceram à procissão. Vinte e três carros foram contratados para levar todos os arranjos de flores enquanto 110 limusines cadillacs as pranteadoras.
