Film Talk: Interchange. This article first appeared in The Edge Financial Daily, on December 1, 2016. Dain Iskandar Said as a filmmaker is a visually driven storyteller. Five years since his lauded action-drama Bunohan: Return to Murder, the director presents Interchange — a fantasy noir thriller that traverses his love for folklore.
4 lug 2023 · Arriving from Kuala Lumpur will be director Dain Said and his producer Nandita Solomon , who have been working together for years and with INTERCHANGE presented their second joint work after BUNOHAN. Nandita Solomon and Dain Said wrote the screenplay for the festival hit together with Redza Minhat and can now look back on their film with a few years' distance.
Film projects range from narrative fiction to documentary: Adam (First Look Festival Silver Prize winner, spring 2010), Penny and Charlie (New Filmmakers New York, 2010), The Mischievous Case of Miss Cordelia Botkin (Los Angeles International Women’s Film Festival, 2011), and Where Life Is (Kate Amend, A.C.E., faculty mentor; Oxford Film Festival, honorable mention).
