Film o kráse lásky a přátelství a o životě, kde je smrt a bolest každodenní záležitostí. S tím koresponduje Skellig, vytvářející dojem anděla, který zde není vykreslen přímo jako mýtická pozitivní postava. Tím je i celý příběh svým způsobem zvláštní a Tim Roth zde odvedl opravdu skvělý výkon.
