Gunga Din, dopo essersi inerpicato in cima a una cupola, soffiando a pieni polmoni nella sua tromba riesce ad avvertire il battaglione in avvicinamento, ma muore sotto i colpi dei Thugs. La sua impresa ha però sortito l'effetto sperato: i ribelli vengono sgominati e Gunga Din, con gloria postuma, viene nominato ufficiale dell'esercito britannico.
