shelter in solitude is one of those films. this is depressing and unitentionally hilarious southern fried melodrama that can’t pick a tone to save it’s life. it means well (some ill advised choices aside) but ultimately is a mess leading to an abrupt unearned downer ending that left me feeling rather icky
