Except when the film forces them to be whimsical, Rea and Ms. Polley show a lovely rapport, and a bantering kinship that makes the relationship credible. Ms. Polley in particular captures the full emotional range of a young woman trying on the mantle of a Guinevere, and ultimately using it to her own advantage.
