He was a very popular singer and entertainer who, as “Ukulele Ike,” had major accomplishments in the 1920s, he appeared in many films in the 1930s (including Gone With The Wind ), and his voice was heard by virtually everyone due to his participation in a rather famous Disney movie.

One of four children born to Edward and Nellie (Farnum) Edwards. 1909 Leaves school at age 14. 1910's Begins singing in St. Louis bars. During this period Cliff learns to play the ukulele as an accompanying instrument due to the lack pianos in the bars.
