Biografi. Imam Musa al-Kazhim lahir pada bulan Dzulhijjah 127 H/745 [1] atau 7 Shafar tahun 128 H/746 [2], di sebuah tempat bernama Abwa' dan kala itu Imam Shadiq as dan istrinya Hamidah kembali dari haji [3]. Pendapat lain menyebutkan, ia lahir pada tahun 129 H/747 di kota Madinah. [4]

Imam Musa al-kazim, the seventh Imam in the Shia lineage, was born in 745 AD in Medina, during the Abbasid caliphate. He was the son of Imam Jafar al-Sadiq and Hamidah Khatun, inheriting a legacy of piety and knowledge. In some sources, other teknonyms such as Abu Isma'il (because of his eldest son, Isma'il) and Abu Musa (because of his son Musa al-Kazim (a)) are mentioned. His famous title was al-Sadiq (الصادق) which means "truthful". According to a hadith, the Prophet (s) gave this title to Imam (a) to distinguish him from Ja'far al-Kadhdhab.
