To join as an officer, you must attend Officer Training School (OTS), Air Force ROTC or the Air Force Academy after completing college or a postgraduate degree and the Air Force Officer Qualifying Test (AFOQT).
Officer Trainees are expected to demonstrate foundational Air Force Competencies IAW AFH 36-2647, Competency Modeling, prior to arrival at Officer Training School. Read, review, and remember the Officer Training School Special Instructions, Officer Trainee Operating Procedures. You will be held accountable for these procedures upon arrival at OTS.
