10 feb 2015 · The official press release: Colm Mac Con Iomaire returns with his second album And Now The Weather (Agus Anois An Aimsir) on 17th April. This is the follow-up to his debut solo album in 2008, The Hare’s Corner. To launch the album, Colm will play Whelans, Dublin on Friday April 17th. Tickets priced €16.50 go on sale Thursday.

A native Irish speaker, he has presented two six-part series of cookery programmes 'Aingeal sa Chistin' for TG4, [4] [5] and has featured on numerous other food-related radio and television programmes for RTÉ, [6] TV3, Radio na Gaeltachta, and Canvas TV (Belgium).

Colm Mac Con Iomaire is an Irish composer and musician from Blackrock, County Dublin, Ireland, who plays violin and sings with The Frames. He is the son of Liam Mac Con Iomaire, a writer, journalist and broadcaster. He attended school at Coláiste Eoin, an Irish Language secondary school in Co. Dublin. Colm was delighted to perform along with a collective of Irish musicians called Street Lights on the charity single “Homeward Bound”, a cover of the classic 1966 tune by Simon & Garfunkel. The single and album were produced to generate funds to assist those in the homeless community.
Colm by Rich Gilligan Colm Mac Con Iomaire was a founding member of The Frames with Glen Hansard in 1990, after they met as buskers on Grafton Street. At the time, Colm was playing violin with his band Kíla – and other future Frame, guitarist David Odlum – when he and Glen crossed paths and formed an instant musical connection.
