I am thinking of some of the books I read at that age, like Tom Sawyer and To Kill a Mockingbird, that portray life in a time where racism and misogyny were, maybe not embraced but, not explicitly called out. Great conversation starters. When we forget history we run the risk of repeating it. Kudos for buying a book though.
