4 giorni fa · Re: LETS ADD RE SHADE TO IL2 1946 TUTORIAL. This is the first example of ReShade that has worked on my system. Alas, changing mouseUse=2 to mouseUse=1 in the conf.ini had the undesirable effect of limiting external views to about half a hemisphere. I could no longer look down on my own aircraft...a rather undesirable feature for making screenshots.

1 giorno fa · Since then it has evolved quite a bit to basically replace the terrain rendering done by the IL-2 engine. Which means that now you can have a far greater terrain rendering distance. I will probably go into further technicalities in a later post - for now some screenshots
2 giorni fa · A few basics on IL-2 setup. Install the game in c:\Games or similar. Not in c:\Program Files. Patch the game up to v4.12.2. Keep that as your master copy. Copy the entire game folder to make a second install and apply your preferred mod pack to the copy. Keep the master copy clean.
4 giorni fa · Re: BAT and Windows 11. Well, whatever the problem is, make sure you do not install IL2 in the "Program files" or "Program files x86" directory. Simply make a Games directory in the root of the C drive and install IL2 in there (c:\games\il-2\ or something like this) If you did install it in one of the progam files directory's, just make a games ...

In that folder, run "IL-2 Selector.exe", change settings, choose BAT module of choice and save settings. Open "il2server.ini" and make sure the modtype is set correctly, i.e. when you performed the steps above, it would need to be "ModType=2 ...
