He is concerned with the individual in America rather than the institution.
It also had a ton of already established actors, like Josh Hartnett, Tom Sizemore, Bill Fichtner, Eric Bana, Jason Isaacs, Sam Shepard. It really has one of the most amazing casts you could put together.

A friend was one of the editors my sister was traveling in Europe at the time and stopped in Paris to see the editor, a mutual friend, Steve Dunn. Altman invited her to dinner.
