Lilian's Story is a 1996 drama about an eccentric old lady, Lilian (Ruth Cracknell) who is let out of a mental institution after 40 years and tries to find her way back in society. She is way out of her depth, but is also haunted by the demons of her past (younger Lilian played by Toni Collette) and her domineering father (Barry Otto).

27 giu 2000 · This isn't a story about mental illness or the care of the mentally ill, it's the story of someone that lost themselves and how they find who they are again when everything has changed. Even the ending is more allegory than truth. It held my interest and it was fun to see the out of date fashions and crimped hair!
