Founded in 1826, MICA is the oldest continuously degree-granting college of art in the U.S. That’s no simple feat given that the school has burned down twice since then, the first time on February 7, 1835, and again (weirdly enough, also on February 7th) during the Great Baltimore Fire of 1904.
1 mag 2024 · Mason Gross celebrates the Class of 2024. May 31, 2024 | General. This year’s Mason Gross School of the Arts convocation ceremony was held on May 9 at the State Theatre in downtown New Brunswick, where the Class of 2024 crossed the stage to receive their degrees.
The Mason Gross keyboard program is designed to provide the highest level of training to young artists and to help them develop the skills needed for a variety of careers in music. The undergraduate curriculum centers on individual private lessons, a rigorous music theory and ear training sequence, as well as a variety of courses in music history and ethnomusicology.
Programs. Whether training to be an actor, playwright, designer, stage manager, or technician, students will study and practice their individual disciplines in a collaborative and encouraging environment while sharing an academic curriculum designed to provide a well-rounded and comprehensive understanding of their craft.
Most students complete their undergraduate degree at Mason Gross School of the Arts in 4 years (8 semesters). To receive their degree, they must also complete the following: A minimum of 120 degree credits (most BFA and BM programs exceed this credit amount) Credit for College Writing 101 01:355:101. A minimum cumulative GPA of 2.0.
