  1. The transfer evaluation process for Mason Gross School of the Arts depends on both the credits completed elsewhere AND your current level measured by our faculty. Please note that all incoming Theater and Filmmaking students, regardless of the number of credits completed elsewhere, start the program as part of the first-year cohort.

  2. Most students complete their undergraduate degree at Mason Gross School of the Arts in 4 years (8 semesters). To receive their degree, they must also complete the following: A minimum of 120 degree credits (most BFA and BM programs exceed this credit amount) Credit for College Writing 101 01:355:101. A minimum cumulative GPA of 2.0.

  3. The Mason Gross keyboard program is designed to provide the highest level of training to young artists and to help them develop the skills needed for a variety of careers in music. The undergraduate curriculum centers on individual private lessons, a rigorous music theory and ear training sequence, as well as a variety of courses in music history and ethnomusicology.

  4. Our Dance Department seeks to cultivate a diverse and inclusive community of dance artists of the highest caliber who are collaborative and multi-dimensional in their view and knowledge of the dance field internationally.

Whether training to be an actor, playwright, designer, stage manager, or technician, students will study and practice their individual disciplines in a collaborative and encouraging environment while sharing an academic curriculum designed to provide a well-rounded and comprehensive understanding of their craft.
