Alice Guy-Blaché (Saint-Mandé, 1º luglio 1873 – New Jersey, 24 marzo 1968) è stata una regista e produttrice cinematografica francese, realizzatrice del primo film fiction della storia del cinema, La Fée aux choux, oltre ad essere stata la prima donna della storia a dirigere un film.
Con 24 años trabajó como operador de cámara en el estudio Gaumont en París. Allí conoció a la que sería su esposa, la directora Alice Guy. Juntos se trasladaron a Nueva York para promover la compañía francesa en los Estados Unidos. Herbert dirigió los estudios Gaumont en Flushing y fue el responsable de la comercialización de la marca.
