Bad English had disbanded, and with good reason, by the time Backlash shipped in 1991. The ten-song disc of highly polished songs flatlines from the off with the five-minute "So This Is Eden". The 1989 self-titled debut LP from John Waite and company moved major numbers, while the group's second, and final studio effort, was left for dead upon release.

14 set 2022 · Het debuut is hij positiever over. Ik vind het debuut over de hele linie wat constanter, al duurt hij wat te lang. Backlash heeft een paar mindere stukken, maar Straight To Your Heart en Time Stood Still , maar ook Make Love Last en Savage Blue zijn hele sterke nummers.
