The campus is located in the middle of the Blue Ridge Mountains where students can go on hikes and other outdoor adventures. The school has been open since 1878.
In 1873, the New River Baptist Association of Virginia voted to establish Oak Hill Academy. Oak Hill held its first session in the fall of 1878. Traditional hallmarks of the school have remained intact throughout the generations: co-educational, boarding, Baptist affiliated, mission-focused, and uniquely diverse.
Athletics. We have a robust athletic program at Oak Hill Academy, and students interested in participating in athletics can choose from a variety of teams. These student-athletes engage in interscholastic competition with integrity and a spirit that honors the high standards of our school.
Financial Aid. All Oak Hill Academy families and prospective families are welcome to apply for financial aid. Those currently receiving financial aid/assistance are required to RE-APPLY EACH YEAR.
