Gradually stir in milk; cook and stir 3-5 minutes or until mixture thickens and comes to a boil. Add sausage; cook 1-2 minutes or until thoroughly heated, stirring frequently. Serve over biscuits.

Dean relished his role, driving a car with a “SSG KING” vanity plate and proclaiming every day to be “Groundhog Day.”. Sara Lee Foods bought Jimmy Dean Sausage in 1984, but Jimmy remained its spokesperson until 2003.
Dean was known for his work in music, television and film, and as a sausage business entrepreneur with the Jimmy Dean Meat Company. His signature songs included "Big Bad John," which reached the top of the Billboard Hot 100 and won him a GRAMMY for Best Country & Western Recording in 1961, and hits such as "I.O.U." and "The Cajun Queen."
