Życiorys. Martika urodziła się w Whittier w Kalifornii (USA) w rodzinie kubańskich emigrantów z Hawany. Zdobyła popularność jako aktorka dziecięca występująca w m.in. serialu Kids Incorporated i filmie Annie. W 1988 roku piosenkarka wydała swój pierwszy album pt. Martika.
