These songs are acoustic versions of some tracks from the lp Vagabonds. The stripped downed sound makes for a great listen to these 6 tracks. If you have the original lp already, this disc is still a great addition to your collection. Being a fan of the Jayhawks, I was really looking forward to this release. It did not dissapoint.

It was initially given away in independent record shops with copies of the album but was later released to buy separately on November 3, 2008.

In 2008, Rykodisc released Gary's first solo album Vagabonds. The album was produced by Black Crowes frontman Chris Robinson. In an interview, Louris was quoted as saying," It wasn't my intention to recapture the ‘70s or anything, that's just what comes out when I sing....Once we got the band together for the sessions, it actually reminded me of how The Jayhawks were when we started out.
