The "female Valentino," as she liked to call herself, Nita Naldi became the most outrageous vamp of the 1920s -- reportedly both on and off the screen. Born Anita Donna Dooley and convent-educated, Naldi took her professional name from a school chum (Mary Rinaldi) and set out to conquer the world of show business with a vengeance.
Nita, cast as fire-breathing man-eater Doña Sol, executes her signature role with a gleam in her eye and all the gusto she can muster. Nita Naldi (nama lahir Mary Nonna Dooley; 13 November 1894 – 17 Februari 1961) adalah seorang pementas panggung dan pemeran film bisu asal Amerika Serikat. Ia biasanya berperan dalam produksi-produksi teatrikal dan layar lebar sebagai seorang vamp , sebuah persona yang mula-mula dipopulerisasikan oleh pemeran Theda Bara .
Nita Naldi murió de un infarto agudo de miocardio en su domicilio de Nueva York a los 63 años de edad, y fue enterrada en el cementerio Calvary, en Queens, Nueva York. Por su contribución a la industria cinematográfica, Nita Naldi fue galardonada con una estrella en el legendario Paseo de la Fama de Hollywood, en 6316 Hollywood Blvd.

Nita Naldi (Nova York, 13 novembre de 1894 – Nova York, 17 de febrer de 1961) va ser una actriu de cinema mut molt popular durant els anys 20. Juntament amb Barbara La Marr , Pola Negri i Dagmar Godowsky van ser les actrius que van fer de pont entre les “ Vamp ” com Theda Bara i les “ flapper ” dels anys del jazz com Louise Brooks .
