Personalmente ho trovato il film disturbante e non tanto per le tematiche che tocca ma per il modo, Cronenberg affronta la tematica con morbosità e spirito vojeristico, l'approfondimento psicologico dei personaggi che dovrebbe essere il punto centrale del film lascia spazio al racconto invadente delle loro dinamiche sessuali che poi risultano essere le protagoniste del film.
