  3. After trudging my way through Groupie Girl, I figured it was best to get this semi-infamous documentary out of the way while I was at it and move on with my life. Poorly made but nonetheless entertaining, there's no great insight into the mind of a groupie in this film.

Groupie Girl's sprightly soundtrack is the film's undeniable highlight, with some exquisitely funky contributions from, Alan Hawkshaw & John Fiddy, and, surprisingly, the performances are all credible, with a Baronic-looking, Donald Sumpter being splendidly vile as the venal, smugly abusive, blithely boffing pop singer, Steve!

But she is not going to join as a singer or musician, she is going to join as a groupie.
