Siouxsie and The Banshees formed in 1976 to fill a gap at the 100 Club Punk Festival. The band consisted of Punk Rock scenesters Siouxsie Sioux (Janet Susan Ballion), Steven Severin (Steven Bailey), Sid Vicious on drums, and Marco Pirroni (at the time an employee at Malcolm McLaren's SEX boutique, later in Adam and the Ants) on guitar.
