One of the most esteemed electric guitarists of his generation, Mike Stern has distinguished himself over a four-decade career that has encompassed musical partnerships with Blood, Sweat & Tears, Billy Cobham, Miles Davis, Jaco Pastorius, the Brecker Brothers and Joe Henderson, as well as 16 recordings as a leader (six of which were nominated for GRAMMY® Awards).

Mike Stern is one of the leading guitarists on the contemporary jazz scene. Began playing at age 12, putting down Clapton and Hendrix licks, but switches to jazz at Berklee College of Music in 1971. Plays for two years each with Blood, Sweat & Tears and Billy Cobham's Powerhouse Fusion Band, later joining the Miles Davis Group.
Mike Stern answered that question by digging deep and coming up with the album that has been inside of him for years. Voices, his tenth recording for Atlantic Jazz, is easily his most inspired outing to date.
