15 ago 2021 · Warren Smith is an American jazz percussionist, known as a contributor to Max Roach's M'boom ensemble and leader of the Composer's Workshop Ensemble. Smith was born in Chicago, Illinois, into a musical family; his father played saxophone and clarinet with Noble Sissle and Jimmy Noone, and his mother was a harpist and pianist.
Warren Smith (b. February 7, 1932, Humphreys County, Mississippi – d. January 31,1980) was a pioneer rockabilly singer and guitar player. Smith was born to Ioda and Willie Warren Smith, who divorced when he was young. He was raised by his maternal grandparents in Louise, Mississippi where they had a small farm and dry goods store.
