Edward Teller, ou Ede Teller, est un physicien nucléaire hongro - américain, né le 15 janvier 1908 à Budapest et mort le 9 septembre 2003 à Stanford . Il est connu proverbialement comme le « père de la bombe à hydrogène ».
Il fisico Edward Teller è nato in Ungheria nel 1908 ma è emigrato prima a Copenhagen e poi negli Stati Uniti dopo l'ascesa al potere di Hitler. Fece parte del gruppo di scienziati che durante la Seconda Guerra Mondiale, guidato da Leo Szilard, convinse il governo statunitense a impegnarsi nella produzione della bomba atomica.
